I'm actually having the same problem haha. but I was thinking of either having my friends come over for a sleepover and the movies, or maybe going out to a restaurant then sleepover. I also might go to a little town or city thats about an hour away with my friends and stay one night and 2 days there...Just hanging out and ordering pizza and cruising the town and giving each other makeovers! thats always fun! hope it helps!

Have a garden party, just lay out tables and chairs, cover with white paper or table cloth, then decorate with flowers from your garden or neighbours, dont have to buy them, put tea light candles, they are cheap and attractive. Have a barbeque, its easy to host, less work with the exception of making salads and easy to clean up afterwards. I know meat can be expensive, but try things like chicken sosaties, sausages and kebaabs on sticks with veggies stuck in between. N.B. Don't over do it with cakes and snacks, just a few will do.

Go for quality rather than quantity.
Have great snacks, whatever your favorites are: shrimp cocktail, mini pizzas, bruchetta, tortilla wraps. Your favorite cake. Sherbet punch (Hawaiian Punch, ginger ale, and raspbery sherbet). Balloons in your favorite colors. Have a few of your best friends over and play something hilarious, like Cranium or Apples to Apples.
Food, friends, and laughter... what else is there?

For my sweet sixteen I put christmas lights up in my backyard on all the bushes, set out a bunch of folding chairs and had snacks right inside the door with cokes and small sandwiches. that way its relaxed and you can just hang out with your friends, we played 20 questions and if you've known each other for a while you can put everyones name in a hat and play things like "What is your first/favorite memory including *Pick a name out of the hat?*" and questions like that. I had a lot of fun and I hope this helps!

buy personal size pizza skins from your favorite pizza place or make the dough your self, supply a nice selection of toppings and have everyone prep their own pizza then throw them on the Bar-bee. Another variation is french bread pizza.
