If people want to be vegetarian, let them. If people want to eat meat, let them. Everyone should be entitiled to make their own choices without criticism, don't you think?

I agree with you, I am a meat eater, but I am married to a vegetarian. there is nothing wrong with a diet choice. We work well together preparing our meals.

I agree.

I am a vegan and while I don't agree with people who choose to eat meat and animal products I do not insult them or challenge their right to do so.

I have experienced this though-many people in real life as well as here have told me I will shrivel up and die an early death as a vegan.-Yet I am 25 and 100% healthy and have been vegan for nearly 10 years and was vegetarian for 9 years before that lol.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to ask sensible questions about other people's choices as it gives people the chance to give sensible, informative and hopefully useful answers. Unfortunately there are some people in this section who come here specifically to ask idiotic and offensive questions when they're not really interested in the answers. I'm not going to dignify anybody's over-inflated ego by mentioning names - we all know who I mean.
I'm vegetarian because I don't think I could kill my own food and for that reason I don't think it's right for me to eat meat. This is a personal choice and I don't actively force my point of view on anyone else. It would be nice to be treated with a similar level of respect by people who don't agree/aren't bothered.

I think people do make their own choices, which is why they are what they are. No one comes on here saying "shall I be Vegetarian or eat meat?" do they!? They come on here talking about the choices they've already made, and other people choose to share views on those choices. There is nothing wrong with that.

I'm a Vegetarian (no milk, no egg too), and if I want to speak about meat being dead flesh, causing cancer and being generally rank, then I will. I'm not criticising someone's choice, I'm speaking my mind about how I feel on the topic of eating meat.

I agree we should all leave everyone else alone but that is not realistic . People because they are so insecure about theit personal beliefs always want to convert others to their way of thinking . I have been a vegetarian for most of my adult life and never push my feelings or religious beliefs on anyone . Mine is a religious choice but I keep that to myself . I don"t want to get into long drawn out discussions . I now say it is for health if people ask . I am not on a personal crusade to convert anyone . You are right about how we should not be criticised by our choices but that will never change . Just as talking about your religion will always bring conflict . My wife and kids have never liked my religion or being a vegetarian but we get along fine . I do not try to judge them so I guess they try to not judge me . Good luck !

Yep, it should be a choice. I have yet to see a topic on here that will get people more riled up than the meat vs veggie debate. I could care less what anyone else eats. To me, its as unnatural for a human to eat a cow, as it is for a cow to eat a human, but I dont hold a grudge against someone who does. Then, even in the veggie section, you have battles going on over vegetarian vs vegan, vs pescatarian etc. Crazy stuff

I'm with you there . It should be like that . Why should people like Andy B and Foxie call vegetarians and insult us ? We only retaliate when they stir us. Normally it's live and let live, most people I know eat meat but they are mature enough to be fine with my veganism and I don't slag off their meat eating!!

Yes, I agree. In this day and age people should live their own lives not someone else's. But as you know everyone has to voice their likes and dislikes and expect you to accept and do.

Of course, I am fed up with people telling me that being a vegan is boring.
They where entitled to making their own choices without being dissed and slandered, so why can't I?
