I started over a week ago, but instead of regulating my moods, I find myself having more angry outbursts, crying or wanting to cry all the time, decreased patience and I seem to be unable to think clearly for much of the following day. I was only started on 25 mg and have just increased to 100 and felt even worse. I have a four month old and do not like being so sedated in case she wakes up and my husband is having to do all of the work so I can take my meds early enough to try to have them out of my system. It seems either I do not get to help take care of my children after work, or I will not be able to work the next day b/c I have taken my medication too late and can't wake up. I have been researching online but there seems to be SO much out there. Without meds I tend to be more tired in the day, insomnia at night, raging mood swings and extreme anxiety. Any suggestions I should ask my doctor? I am not even sure what to ask.

Talk to your doctor. Every person's body chemistry is different and it will take you and your doctor a while to find the perfect drug(s) amounts that works best for you.

Some people experiencing depression will blame themselves for the drugs not working or losing effectiveness. Don't blame yourself. Be open and honest with your doctor so you can find what works best for you.

Additionally, a friend of mine didn't like the idea of being on all the meds she was on (she thought part of her problem was over-medication), and started to ween herself off. Outwardly she seemed fine, but in actuality she was a mess. When she went back to the doctor, and they put her on a new regiment that she stuck too, things improved dramatically.

My Dr. put me on seroquel 50mg after my son died, he also put me on adavan(Lorazapan). I came home at 6:30 took my meds and ate, went to sleep. I gained 45 lbs. I looked up side affects of Seroquel went to the Dr. & told him no more.Had all the same symptoms you have. He put me on Cymbalta 60mg. It work'd fast.W/in 11/2 wks. after about 2mos. I could tell I needed my dosage changed. He added the Wellbutrin 150. The Cymbalta has kept me from hurting myself or anyone who gets in the way. You might ask your Dr.about it or look it up on-line.

Your doctor is the best one to answer this question. By the way, this is the respiratory category.
