The reason I am asking this here is because I respect the option of Vegetarian and Vegans the most.

Firstly I don't see why this question is out of place in this section. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask vegans and vegetarians what their religious beliefs (if any) are, as their particular philosophy is about compassion and respect for life and it's interesting to know whether they relate it to religion. I'm always very interested in how many vegans do or don't believe in God. Athiesm seems very common amongst vegans which always surprises me a bit.
Personally, I'm a vegan and yes I'm also a believer. I'm not a Christian and therefore don't believe in the Bible's portrayal of God, but I do believe in a higher power and I suppose I'm more a spiritualist. I've had too many experiences of spirits to believe that death is the end. I firmly believe in another life after this one.

I'm a Buddhist but I believe it is
more philosophy and ethics than
religion. This is because Siddhartha
never sought to be revered and
worshiped.
I am also a Gai- principalist. I believe
there is a higher life force that maintains
a balance of nature-( ying and yang).

Like Lyllian I do not believe in
a personified being with a white
beard in the clouds.
I also don't subscribe to the idea
that there is any one right religion.
After all, most of them have ten
rules that all resemble Hammurabi's
code.
But without ten basic rules, don't kill,
don't steal, don't cheat etc., where
would be as a society?

I'm Vegan heading in the direction of being a raw foodist and yes I believe in a higher power. Not that I believe the cannon we call the bible to be the one all be all of books but it does have sprinkled throughout some wisdoms. I.E. "Then God said, 'I give to you every seed bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." Genesis 1:29. It does make one think about how one is suppose to eat.

I believe there is something greater than us... perhaps an energy we can hope to attain or be a part of, a connectedness of life... I believe that most religions and science have similar concepts of energy and the soul, and I believe that most religions have the same concept of being nice to each other
I do not believe in a *man* with a grey beard sitting in the clouds, watching and judging us.

Yes, I suppose, but not in the Christian sense of the word God. I would consider myself more spiritual than religious.

Sorry, but I don't think this question belongs into this category. It has nothing to do with being vegetarian or vegan. In some cases religious motives might add to the decision of changing a life style, but I doubt this is the case in manycases.
