If a patient with Cystic Fibrosis has a lung transplant, do the new lungs develope the same symptoms as the original lungs?

Not in the lungs ...

they are cured of the pulmonary cystic fibrosis because the donor's lungs should have different DNA and (hopefully) does not have the CF gene.

However - a new set of problems will arise, to do with the immunosuppressive medication the recipient is now taking. Their immune system will be impaired and they will be prone to infections - including chest infections.

The transplant of the lung does not fix CF elsewhere. They will still sweat very salty sweat, have motility disorders to do with spermatogenesis if they are male, etc. but the lungs shouldn't clog up like they used to.
