Ok...most spanish stores around here sell things like rice and beans, empanadias, potato balls, platanos etc etc....well there is also this pork stuff....it almost tastes like beef jerky....its really cheap and you usually just ask for a dollar amount like "ill have $2.00 worth" does anyone know what thats called?? i know its pork but does it have a name, like how its cooked or whatever (it was SOO0O0O0O0 good..i wanna try and make it ;0)!!) thanks in advance!!!

I think I know what are you taking about, you probably bought it in a Mexican meat market and is usually call plain and simple: "Carnitas", and you are right you can buy them already cook for a dollar amount or by weight and they are really good.

I love it to the food your thinking of I am pretty sure it is called pernir {it may be spelled perner} they sell it usually by the pound in English we call it roast pork and it taste great the problem is if you even decide to make it your self it takes a LONG!!!!!! time to cook traditionally it is cooked on a open pit fire these days a oven works it you want any more info on it just e-mail me it's no problem.
