I was wandering if anyone had any "Do it yourself" ideas?? The place we are having it already supplies the paper goods. My sister is doing her cake. I was thinking of taking the goody bags(yellow) and making his face. Also, making sugar Spongebob cookies (with her help).
ANyone else???

i saw this in martha.
its a sponge ball you can play with in the yard. you can soak it in water or you can play with it dry.
cut a 4 regular sized spoges into 4 strips. it would be better if they are in 2 colors. then stack them up into a checkerboard pattern. 4 strips across and 4 strips tall. then take a string and tie the sponges up in the middle. tie them very tight so the sponges would form a ball.
i like your spongerbob cookies idea. make a patrick star cookie too. :)

I love Spongebob. I do not have any children of my own yet, but my nephew, who is 2, had a spongebob party. I helped with the decorations. We used a lot of blue and yellow favors; like yellow and blue balloons, yellow and blue paper mache, and so on. Your goody bag ideas sounds good. You can find spongebob favors at any store. I also have another cute idea. It would be more suitable for girls. My mom is a 4th grade teacher and I did this with her kids. We bought just cheap small flower pots. I painted spongebob on all of them. You could either put a plant or fill it with goodies. Like maybe a bag of soil and seeds for a plant. That way, the kids could go home and do the project with their moms. For the cookies, you could just buy those pre cut sugar cookies and bake them. Then buy several tubes of that gelled icing and let the kids draw their version of spongebob on them. Hope this helps.

You should make all the party games Sponge Bob.
Have pin the nose/pants/whatever on sponge Bob
Have keep away from the Jelly Fish. Blowup a red balloon then attach a few stands of yarns to hang down. Play music while they tap the balloons back and forth to each other. When the music stops...the players who are holding balloons, have been stung. They sit out.
Change Red Rover. Have the kids say “Squidward Octopus, king of all motion...wants you to send (name) cross the ocean.
Hope this help, have a great party!

My son had a sponge bob party when he was 5, the hardest part was the cake, cos no bakery cwanted to do it so my husband and i made it, it sounds like you have most of the important stuff, just co-ordinate everything in yellow and blue. Don't overdo it with the snacks cos from my experiences alot got wasted, kids that age just love chocolates and sweets, fruit juices oh and the party pack, they dont care much about the biscuits and cakes.

As an activity, get a bunch of yellow sponges, colored perm markers and let the kids decorate their own spongebob! the ink is perm so it will be a great bath item.

One of my friends is turning 30 and she wants this too. She loves Patrick. LOL. Here's a few things we were thinking of you might be able to use:
-Burn a CD for all the guests, make sure song #1 is WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA...and then add appropriate music for the guests. THere are lots of programs out there that create jackets and art for the cd case too.
-Treasure Hunt (the whole under the sea and pirate thing)- this can be customized for your guests. You don't want to use our list, lol.
-Buried treasure- similar to above. Fill a kiddie pool with sand and bury plastic toys in it. Kids dig!
-Krabby Patties for lunch of course- (burgers) and kelp fries (french fries.)
-Under the sea decorating- blue lighting- I think you can buy blue light bulbs or at least get white strings of lights and blue tissue paper for decorating.
