Micro living organisms are there in almost every edible vegetables, fruits, cereals and water. Even by consuming water, you are also swallowing a large number of micro organisms who go on to enrich your nutrition. Since there is practically no way of weeding off or eliminating micro living organisms before consuming food, we have it. Vegetarians and non-vegetarians differ only by the size of the living organism that they consume. Humans, hence are the same. Wouldn't it be better if we had only divisions of people who promote organised killings of other species (even when they can survive by allowing the other species to enjoy their lives) and those who do eliminate other species, just because they can't avoid it. Isn't it more sensible ?

Practically there is no veg. or non-veg. They classified basing on living and non-living principle. Meat is considered non-veg and vegetables and pulses are veg. But, Shri.Jagadeesh chandra bose proved vegetables also living things. All pulses comes from herbs, shrubs and trees. Where can we find vegetarian food.

The micro living organism isnt an animal, no vegan has a problem eating bacteria or anything. They dont have a nervous system.
and no it doesnt differ, non vegetarians eat meat, veg do not. easy, not all animals are bigger than plants, shrimp is easily smaller than spinach etc. There is a much bigger difference between animals and plants than just size, this is just simple biology. Animals have nervous systems and move. Plants do not have that so it is ethical to eat plants but not animals.

thats the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Vegetables are "living", containing live enzymes. The meat eaters always say we are "killing" the veggies. My veggie plants readily give up their product, and reproduce another in its place. Of course we are all eating micro organisms-but thats a far cry from eating something that gives live birth and bleeds and feels pain. I tend lovingly to my garden, and it rewards me with fruit and vegetables. Why do we have to define everyone into tighly held little groups and masses? Sorry, but I see nothing "sensible" about equating killing something capable of producing a meaningful life to that of something that doesn;t breath or have a beating heart and brain.

A true story that may shed light. Many years ago a zoo had a large colection of monkeys that suposedly ate only vegatation and fruit included. The monkeys were not healthy and kept even getting worse to the point they had to get rid of them or they all die. They took them to a rehab place for monkeys in the tropics and very quickly they became healthy again. The zoo doctors went to see why this could be hapening so fast.

Simple answer to that one. Thgey were fed fress picked food and even the bugs worms and all that goes with the tropics were incluyded. Yes it was the protein from the bugs and worms that they were lacking and needed desperately.

Now every zoo will make sure the protein is there and mostly in the form of meat of one kind or another. No it does not take a large amount but it is needed for good health.

We humans are very close to the same kind of animal. Think about it.

Are you ******* kidding me? You think killing or even torturing a bunch of bacteria is the same as killing an animal!?!

No. I really don't follow your argument (I was going to say logic but then changed my mind because what you suggest does not seem logical to me.)

None whatsoever! Everything that one consumes has an element of both veg and non-veg!
