I have had these stuff nose for a couple of months now. I seen a head, nose, and ear doctor but he didn't see anything wrong, he also checked and said I had no polyp. I used nasal spray, nasonex, and taken claritin and also amoxicillin in the past few months but nothing has worked. Another problem is that when I go to bed at night and lay down, Always one side of my nose gets stuffed really bad and can't breathe on that side, but the next night its the other side.
I am just out of ideas and don't know what else to do.
Just wanted to get your suggestions and also to see if any of you had this problem. I am 20 years old by the way.

Check for mold in your room, or the place your nose seems to clog up the most when your near or in it.

You might have an allergen that the current meds are not helping with. The first is to find out what might be the cause and to rule out different things. Narrow it down.

I get stuffy with mold, dust and cigarette smoke. Black mold gives me a headache and stuffiness. Stagnate water also causes stuffiness.

Good luck in your hunt for the culprit.

Use a vaporizer or humidifier at night. Winter tends to make it worse because the air is dry and without humidity. Secondly, make an appt to see an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) dr. They specialize in this area and may be able to dig deeper into the cause of your symptoms. There are LOTS of causes!! Also, try seeing and allergist. Getting tested may reveal an unknown allergy that you have around you quite a bit. Good Luck!

*hands you a kleenex* I know what your going through . Have had the same problem myself. I have found that running a humdifier at night helps. Also adding a few extra pillows to prop up. If you have curtains in your room wash them regualry and make sure your mini blinds are free of dust.If you have pets keep them out of your sleeping area.If all else fails try a little vapor rub under your nose. the vapors tend to open up the airways. Good luck:)

This could be sinus thing. I get terribly stuffed up in the winter months (dust) and so at night I use a cold cloth on my face and it seems to help eliminate the pressure. It is a temp fix to help me fall asleep. If it is your sinus and meds are not working you could try this. I can not take anything when I was preg with my children and now I find this works sometimes along with the meds.
Hope you find relief soon.

blow it ALL out and stop snorting it back up. it should be gone within a day. you can also take medicine as well but snorting the boogers like many people usually do is not a good way to get rid of stuffy nose.

Is your pillow filled with feathers?? If so, get a foam filled one.

Also, any cats in the house.
My doctor suggested, git rid of the cats, to which my wife replied, get rid of the doctor.
In any event. run the vacuum a little more frequently to pick up cat dander.
Good luck.

Use a humidifier. In the winter, the furnace dries the air in the room. Your body senses this and makes more mucus to compensate. A humidifier in the bedroom can help. It might not completely alleviate the symptoms, but it can help.

Do you want to try alternative medicine? Accupuncture is really helpful. Some really skillful accupucturists can tell you your symptom without you telling them first. It is not as scary as you might think. Some people get addicted to it because it is so relaxing. I always fall asleep during the treatment.

When you lay down, try proping your upper body with a few extra pillows. Hold both your nostrils shut tight and give a hard blow like your actually blowing your nose. That should clear your nose, but only for a short period of time.

it sounds like ent chcecked you out thorougly, but did he send you to be tested for allergies because it sounds like they could be a possible cause to your problem, even though you are on claritin and nasonex
