I don't think 10 dollars is enough. I would rather spend a little more on something worthwhile then 10 dollars on something useless. Plus, I know I would receive something of alittle more value in return. And even though you can find some great things under 10, it does limit your options. And 10 dollars spent on something useless is still 10 dollars wasted. I would suggest between 15 and 20, depending on your circle of friends. A simple way to distribute them is by attaching a specific colour to each gift with corresponding colours written on paper and tossed in a hat. The ladies draw a color and collect that prize. You can tie in some sort of game, like trivia questions based on the era in which most grew up in and first place winner draws first and second, second...etc. anyways, have fun..

Casey,
Great party idea!!!! It truly shows the level of friendship you all share. Now, let's get to the delivery. Personally, I think the name drawing can work, but why not come away with having each person getting a gift for everyone. Now this may sound expensive, but think about it.... You really get to to see what everyone thinks of Everyone.... 10 ppl. 10 gifts No one has to spend over $10 bucks and I'm sure you will all come out of it with some very interesting gifts to talk about....
Happy planning.

Why don't you have each person put their name in, then draw, and have each person then present the gift to the person. Simple, but pleasureable - say something like " I am giving you this gift because you are a beautiful person" That way they are not just getting a nice gift, but there is a heartfelt connection that goes with it.

Sounds like a great idea!! I think the limit should be between $15-20. No more, no less so it saves feelings from being hurt because someone elses gift cost more.

That is a good price limit. I would just make sure all the gifts are wrapped and have everyone pick a gift that is not theirs or you could number the gifts and have everyone pick a number out of a basket(prettier than a hat). your theme is perfect!

I find it really interesting... You should limit your cost to $5-$15... why? you said it yourself... its SIMPLE PLEASURES you don't have to go over the top just to buy a simple treasure... remember that at the end of the day the simplest things are really the most elegant... Have fun with your unique party!

$10 dollars sounds good. I think you should give every woman a slip of paper with a name on it. Whatever name they have they should buy a simple pleasure for that person that is on their slip before the party. Hope it helps. If you need more info email me at kjb@neo.rr.com

Put everyone's name in a hat and draw. I like the idea but make sure everyone understands.
You could have a dessert buffet for your party and serve coffee, teas, cappachino, etc for the drinks ( make sure you have no or low sugar foods and drinks for anyone diabetic). Have a great party!!!!!!!!!!!!
