I am pretty much the same way--since I've been pregnant mind you. I find the only thing that works for me is to take straight bran. I mix it every morning in either yogourt or porridge and this seems to work for me. You might just need more of this type of fibre rather than the one you get from eating fruits and veggies. I did not find All bran cereal helped. The amount of bran in it is not nearly as much as pure bran. In addition, drink about 8 glasses of water a day--warm the water up first thing in the morning and that seems to work. You can also try prunes, prune juice, or just simply orange juice. Avoid caffeine and cheese. Some people also find bananas constipating too. Hope this helps.

If you're drinking anything carbonated, that could be the problem. Also check the grams of fiber in the whole wheat. Make sure it is stone ground whole wheat with at least 6 grams per slice. You don't mention what you're putting between the bread. For you cheese could be a no no.

Regular aerobic exercise helps. I am the exact same way. A doctor suggested that I have IBS with constipation. (I mean I will take four senna...a natural laxative..and still not go for two days.) Here is a website that explains this condition. You may have it. Consult a doctor. Also there is a product on the market for this, Zelnorm, consult your doctor about this product also.http://www.ibstales.com/ibs_constipation.htm

Down a couple dried figs or prunes a day. These don't appeal in taste to everyone, but trust me, a little goes a long way. I've been told that honey is also a natural laxative. Just try encorporating a little bit of these things in your daily diet, and see how it goes. Good luck!

How much dairy do you eat? I mean even as ingredients in other foods? cheese is particularly bad for me. I went vegan last year for humane reasons but for the first time in my life I had good poop sessions! you may not want to hear that, but at least try cutting out the big dairy products for 2 weeks and see if it doesn't really help. my doctor diagnosed me with IBS when I was 17, it turned out I'm just allergic to dairy. maybe you are too

maby because your either eating to much or you are in the bathroom to early in the morning or to late or even to much fiber.
If you increase your fiber intake to fast it will not let ypu go. Try going 5 to 10 minutes after you get up and the sun rises and get 8 to 10 hours of sleep!

Are you taking any kind of medication? Say for a cold or ear infection. The antibiotics will bind you up. Drink a lot of water with meds, if that is the case. Drink more water anyhow.

Well, my first thought would be not enough fluid intake. You say you THINK you drink enough water, but are you sure? You should drink about 3 liters a day...
If you're sure you're drinking enough, go to the doctor for a check-up. There might be something wrong with your digestive tract.

Are you getting a full gallon of H2o daily?
I'd try upping the H2o and exercise first, then I'd see a Dr. if things don't improve. You could have a hemorrhoid or something else creating a block in your intestines.
Good luck.
