Of course they can! Vegetarians don't eat animal *flesh* - but animal crackers are not really made form animals, they are just shaped (kind of) like them.
If you eat those little chocolate people (brand name escapes me right now), that doesn't make you a cannibal, does it?

Surely you 'can' eat what you like... I'm vegetarian but I eat Haribo sweets which are meant to have gelatin in them - don't know cos I'm too busy eating them to read the packet - doesn't mean I'm gonna be hunted down by the Vegetarian Brigade..or does it....;)
Actually, I have just read my answer. I am being pedantic. Ignore me.

Yes and no. because some people take it VERY seriously... and some people don't because crackers shaped like animals taste the same as little circles =)

Where's V&P with the official count of the day?
V&P, if you keep slacking off with the official count on this idiotic question we're going to have to fire you!
My favorite answer so far is from Vegan!
Do meaties eat crackers shaped like vegetables? When's someone going to ask that in the Food> General section?
Edit:
V&P, you get to keep your job! T.U. from me!! How'd I get two T.D.s? Must have been realFHG and fakeFHG ;-P

Depends..... if you're a Jewish vegetarian, I don't think you can eat the ones shaped like pigs, camels, or rabbits.
and you probably shouldn't eat them on a friday during lent if you're catholic either.....
