Depends on where in the body you are talking about. I think you may be referring to cappilaries which connect arteries and veins

Think of your circulatory system like a "plumbing system,hot & cold water pipes"..The largest vein in the body is the "vena-cava" from this huge vein ,all the blood that has delivered it's load of oxygen through-out the body,will take it back to the lungs,from tiny capillaries,venule's,to larger and larger veins,until it's in the vena-cava.The opposite happens to the oxygenated blood,it takes that blood to the body by the arteries,the largest is the "aorta"that goes from biggest to smallest arterioles,that's were the change happens,in the capillaries arterioles change to the venule"s,from tiny to largest vein,back to the lungs,and the cycle starts again. Remember: arterial blood circulation is always biggest to smallest. Venus blood system is always,smallest to largest Take care. SW RNP
