To use medicines - it has always risks, even if it is low! (Naturally medicines as well...)
Apply them only, if you really need!!!
Cost/benefit ratio is the most important by application medicines, and to calculate it, that's the job of doctors...
Of course, by a children's cough medicine risk is extremly low.
If your doctor suggested it, you should give it to the child. He/she has a lot of experiences with children cough medicines, would have been realised it's harms to te children, and would'nt prescribe...

yes it can be but it depends on how mutch the child consumes theres usally directions on the bottles or box's that say for certain age groups and if your not sure contact a physican but then again to much of any substance is dangerous

do u intend on giving the full bottle? no didnt think so, in limited amounts its safe, i use tixylix for my sons who r 2 and 3. also if ur unsure see ur doctor if the childs cough needs meds then the doc will prescribe 'safe' stuff.
