I'm sure you would be extra tired if you had some deficency.
Your body requires two kinds of protiens; complete protiens and incomplete protiens. Complete protiens are found mainly in meats. The only vegetarian source for complete protien is SOY. Other good sources for incomplete protiens are everywhere, just read the box! You can find fabulous, healthy, protien packed vegetarian and vegan foods in the produce and frozen foods departments at your grocery store. Also, try 'morningstar farms' products 'Kashi' cereals and granola bars,( just don't overdue the carbs). Keep in mind when on the run, 'Burger King' offers a 'BK Veggie Burger'.
For iron, ask your pharmacist for a suggested supplement. Often a storebrand supplement is a lot cheaper and equally effective. Definately discuss your decision with your doctor. Everyone has their own needs, this diet may not be for you.

Protein deficiency is rare in developed countries but small numbers of people have difficulty getting sufficient protein due to a wrong diet. This however is not caused by avoiding red meat! A deficiency can also occur if the protein a person eats is incomplete and fails to supply all the essential amino acids.
As far as symptoms of protein deficiency, you may notice impaired wound healing (i.e. a cut or sore that just won't heal), edema (fluid collection) in your hands and feet or abdomen, decreased muscle mass, lethargy and fatigue.
Most people in the Western World consume adequate protein, even if they do not consume animal products. Dried beans, soy milk or tofu, vegetables and grains contain enough protein. Peanuts and other nut butters are also a good source of protein.
If you do not consume any animal foods and are not sure yet how to balance your daily intake of protein, be sure to take a multivitamin that contains the RDA for iron and vitamin B 12. Deficiencies of either of these nutrients can lead to anemia, which could be causing your above symptoms.
So, stop worrying! And for some extra iron, eat lots of green salads and vegetables, beet root, lentils and red grapes. But relax, you won't die! If you feel bad however, it might be something that requires seeing a doctor .

You can easily get your protein from grains and beans. Quinoa (pronounced KEEN WA) is a tasty whole protein grain, as is millet. Beans, legumes, lentils, split peas, etc are great sources of fiber and protein, and make super meat substitutes. I use pinto or black beans to make very tasty tacos. Bean patties, mixed with a little mashed potato are yummy too.

legumes, kidney beans, red beans, pinto beans, black beans, soy beans, peas; nuts and seeds including nut butters too. Fake meat (veggie burgers, seitan), tempeh, tofu and other soy products. It's very easy to get plenty of protein from these sources, few vegetarians are protein deficient, actually. Oh and some types of mushrooms and seaweed also have protein.

You really don't need to worry about protein deficiency unless you're living off junk food and salad. It's basically really hard, even for a vegetarian or vegan, to not get enough protein unless you're anorexic or something.

If you do not get enough iron you might get anemia (which I unfortunately have). Anemia causes you to get very cold and you will be cold even if the room temp is 77.

Cooked dishes with beans and tofu. Yum! Mexican, Indian, Asian dishes have such an offering using these two along with a large variety of vegetables you may or not have heard of before. There are so many varieties of beans...pinto, kidney, black, black-eye peas...etc...
There are many incomplete proteins (eg: beans) that if you cook them with another incomplete protein, it'll make a complete protein.
