I can be talking fine in a normal coversation. I answer the phone and all of a sudden I start coughing.

I know you won't believe it but it is probably stress related. Does it happen with all calls or just business calls or people you are not comfortable with. Anxiety and stress can cause many ailments. It can cause serious bowel problems and other stuff like six months to a year after a traumatic event some people get cancer. The body and mind seriously affect one another. Then there could be something you are sensitive to...all people are different. Good luck finding out. Mmm

Maybe you have an allergy to the plastic in the phone
