Air purifiers clean the air. You need a humidifier to add moisture to the air. The best percentage of humidity is 40 to 50%. Less causes dry sinuses and also can damage furniture and cause static electricity from carpets and wood floors. Over 50% can breed mold and your windows will "steam" up. For a bedroom, you could use a vaporizer.

An air purifier removes particles from the air that increase allergic reactions and lung and nasal irritation. When you look at the air in a room through a stream of sunlight you can see many of these particles. An air humidifier actually adds moisture to the air. An air purifier does not perform this action.

An Air Humidifier takes the moister out of the air. I have two of them in my house. Brilliant machines and normally take half a bucketfull out a day of water. Mind you it is summer over here where I am.
But just as good in the winter because it spreads the air around, so when you come in after work there is no dead cold air hanging around.
Air purifier is just like a smelly thing that sprays lavender etc smells around every so many minutes.
Woops sorry all ...... Too late in the morning and I missed the spelling.
I mean a DE HUMIDIFIER .... not a humidifier there is a lot of difference. DE HUMIDIFIER takes the MOISTURE out of the air and bedding and lounge suites, clothing, drys laundry etc etc etc ............... sorry
