Do they have meat pies in America?

yes, there called pot pies here, but they have alot more gravy in them than a tradional meat pie. Chicken or turkey are probably my favorite. Oh, and if anyone out there in the atlanta area knows where I can get a killer sheperd's pie, I'd really appreciate it.

We don't have the kind of meat pies like the ones in England, but we do have Jamaican beef patties. I've also eaten meat pies in Wisconsin that must have been brought by the Germans who settled that area. They have ground beef, cabbage and cheese in a savory crust. Delicious! I've also had Lebanese meat pies in Brooklyn. As for an American meat pie, I agree with those who say that pot pies are the closest thing.

What kind of meat pie? I've had palestinean meat pies, i think the arab spelling was...sfija. But they are great, its basically a dough , kind of like a pita but thicker and on top they put cooked ground lamb meat and it is soooooo good.

But if you mean, american meat pies, there's pot pies.

besides pot pies there are usually meat pies available in areas with African or Caribbean populations. and calzones are a twist on a meat pie.

Yes they do, including pot pies and also a pie that is widely sold in upper Michigan (forgot the name). My dad said that is what miners used to eat many years ago since it was easy to heat up and transport etc.

No, unless you count pot pies (which are really more of a stew in a crust). Americans think pork pies are weird.
