Blood pressure is a measurement of the pressure of the blood as it moves through the heart and back from the extremities. So, any strain can cause the BP to go up and any relaxation can cause it to lower. If someone has high BP because of age, heredity or a healthe condition they need medication to help keep it down to prevent stroke or heart attack. It's called the silent killer because it most often has no symptoms. Uncontrolled Bp is the number 1 killer of americans.
