I would seek medical attention, if you are having trouble with your pulse and heart and pains in your chest .

What did they tell you about your condition (atrial fibrilation)?
You gotta stay away from Colas, caffeine, don't get stressed (hard to do as a teenager I know) and get lots of rest and eat right etc. Drink lots of water too.
I know what you're talking about...I had those palpitations for days without end...felt like you were going to die and yet 2 ER trips and they say it's nothing.
If I were you I'd go get checked out. I have no idea if you are on meds or what but your heart should not be going like that. Something is causing it and you need to get to the root of it and even if they find nothing physically, emotionally you need to get it together and look after yourself.
If you are like this at 15 what are you going to be like later you know? So look after yourself kiddo.
Go where they can give you an EKG and have you had a stress test done? In the meantime relax, stay calm and cut out all that stuff I mentioned over the next few days...none of it, and you should feel better I hope.

I don't know, I'm not a doctor.
Relax, take some deep cleansing breaths. Sometimes coughing will get your heart back in rhythm. Do you think you should take a baby asprin? Do you have pain?
It could be a panic attack...so try not to think so hard about your heart banging in your chest.
If it doesn't stop soon, you should go to the E.R. Especially with your history of atrial fibrilation. Is that serious?

If you're in the clinic now, why don't you talk to your doctor or nurse and let them know how your chest is feeling. If you are at home, then you can call the hospital where your cardiologist works out of, have him/her or whoever is taking call for that group, to call you at home and discuss with you what is going on. Don't be afraid to contact your doctor.

By clinic do you mean hospital?Anyway it sounds like you are at the right place.I've had atrial fibrillation for most of my life as a result of mitral valve damage and surgery. All you can do for yourself is not to get too hot.The heat will make you feel worse.Have lots of cool water on hand and take it easy.Watch lots of funny shows, they take your mind off yourself and you will feel better. That's what I did and take your medication!!Hope this helps.Take care ,OK?I'll be thinking of you.

Well, I've had them for over 40 years now and the palpitations used to throw me into full out panic attacks. But with your history of A-fib you may want to ask your cardiologist. In the meantime, stop smoking anything, cut out caffeine and decrease stress and getting over-tired.Good Luck and I hope you are over this soon.

Well, if you are in the cardiac clinic, then, you should probably ask someone there instead of being on the internet. Why don't you describe this to them. A nurse or a doctor could probably answer your questions. Preferrably one that is there at the clinic.

If you have issue's with your heart already then you should consult your doctor right away, don't wait. It could be nothing, but it may be something....and other then call your doctor I wouldn't take medical advice from anyone on YA.

this will not go away but you can help control the attacks, try to push down as hard as you can like you are having a baby or a hard bowl movement. sometimes this can make your heart return to the normal beat.

you might be worsening the situation by panicking..see whatr your parents say.
try to stay calm and learn about the condition you have . it will help you to to keep calm, but if you feel that this is something more than usual you can always go to the E R or call your Doctor(don't hesitate, that's what they are there for)!!!
hope you feel better ..............go for a walk
