Eat more whole grains, cholesterol free of low foods, less red meat, and excersise at the very least of three times a week....if that doesn't work you may need to see a doctor to get medication.

Well, Im only 18, so I dont really have to worry about cholesterol yet hehe, but my grandparents have bad cholesterol and high blood pressure, and he takes Ginkobaloba (Im not sure if thats how you spell it), and exercise. Cut back on the sweets and really fatty foods to. If nothing seems to work, Id look into some prescription meds.

Cherios, walnuts, almonds, organic apple cider vinegar, garlic, essential fatty acids & fiber supplements and exercise can help to lower cholesterol.

If you haven't been tested for thyroid problems, you might want to have a morning blood work. Having hypothyroidism caused my cholesterol to go to 229. Once on thyroid meds it went down to 201. I further lowered it to 167 with the foods I mentioned above.

Exercise also helps too.

I always tell my patients to think fresh. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.Grilled or baked lean meats. No shell fish. Sorry, I know it's yummy, but full of cholesterol. Watch your fat intake. Cut down on the fried foods and gravy.

Stay away from eating too much red meat, butter, pasta, sodas, chips, practically anything that can clog your arteries. Eat instead, baked chicken or fish, drink juices that aren't so high in sugar, wheat bread instead of white bread, try using a light jelly instead of butter. Drink lots of water and eat your vegetables! Lol
