No need to be lost...the answers are very simple.

1. Unprotected anal sex...but it doesn't mean that if you're using a mere condom you are safe either as some viruses are small enough to penetrate through the condom!
2. Oral sex...this is really nasty...genital herpes can infect your whole face with unpleasant boils and the worst thing is that they cannot be cured!
3. Blood transfusions or blood mixing. applies to all STDs but HIV/AIDS are contracted primarily with this method
4. Using the same syringe needles...which is basically similar to the one above as STDs are contracted when traces on blood are left on the needle and is mixed with that of the sharer.

Hope this is of help!

These are the most common ways STDs are spread (in no particular order):
1. Vaginal sex
2. Anal sex
3. Oral sex
4. DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area (HPV and herpes)

There are other ways too, but these are less common (in no particular order):
1. Child birth
2. Syringe/needle sharing (HIV)
3. Blood transfusions

STDs are spread through contact with infected body fluids, such as blood, vaginal fluids, or semen. They can also be spread through contact with infected skin or mucous membranes, like sores in the mouth. You may be exposed to infected body fluids and skin through vaginal, anal or oral sex if you don't correctly use a latex condom. Anal sex is very risky because it usually causes bleeding. Sharing needles or syringes for drug use, ear piercing, tattooing, etc. can also expose you to infected fluids.

Most STDs are only spread through direct sexual contact with an infected person. However, pubic lice and scabies can be spread through close personal contact with an infected person, or with infested clothes, sheets, or towels.

Hope this helps!

Sexually transmitted diseases, commonly called STDs, are diseases that are spread by having sex with someone who has an STD. You can get a sexually transmitted disease from sexual activity that involves the mouth, anus, vagina, or penis.
