About half the STDs out there are curable. All STDs caused by bacteria can be cured with antibiotics. These include:
-Chlamydia
-Gonorrhea
-Syphillis
-Trichomoniasis
An easy way to remember the STDs that can NOT be cured is to remember they all start with the letter "H". These STDs are casued by viruses. There are no cures for viruses, there is only treatment. These STDs include:
-HIV/AIDS
-Herpes
-Hepatitis
-HPV (HPV can sometimes go away on it's own. A person's body can basically "fight it off". But there is NO cure.)

Generally speaking, most of them are curable by means of antibiotic creams, medicines or injections.
However...STDs which involve a virus or viruses cannot be cured. Genital herpes can be controlled but not cured. Just like spots on the face, herpes can cause severe outbreaks and can calm down again, yet to outbreak again....
HIV/AIDS is another virus which as I am sure you know cannot be cured.
Basically bacteria-caused STDs are curable...but virus-caused STDs are not and can be fatal....
Take care!

Depends on which std you get.....the only two std's that they have not found a cure for is HIV?AIDS and herpes...there are medicine's out there to help the symptoms but not a cure . Most other std's can be cured with pills or shots.

Well they are coined STI's now, for the reason that they aren't really disease causing they are infections because they are easily cured by antibiotics, however! viruses are a totally different story, viruses can remain dormant in your body for years, herpes, HIV, hpv. Some STI's are more serious than others and can be disease causing though.
