I'm just curious. I see quite a few answers by people claiming to be a nurse. Some of their answers fall somewhere between ill-informed and just plain stupid. If you are a nurse, and haven't researched your answer, maybe you should do some homework and not stoop to an opinion as so many seem content to do. If you aren't a nurse and are posing as one, you don't belong here.

I've noticed it too. Particularly in this category. You would think someone posing as an expert would have better answers than some of the ones I've seen which, confidentially, I've ROTF & LMAO at. ®

Wow! I guess years of experience are not reason to answer a question to someone in need. However, I'm a retired nurse and I do answer questions when I know what I'm talking about. Whomever posts the Q has the right to accept or reject the answer...second opinion? Doesn't bother me. Godloveya.

I agree. I have even seen this in real life. Nurses and even doctor that don't have a clue.
Unless they specialize in endocrinology, they most likely do not know more than just the very basics.

Squirrel, are you a nurse or a physician? If you are either, I can see where you may have a basis for comparison. As a nurse answering questions, I stick with things I'm sure about.

Let me ask you something: where do you get off judging? Are YOU a trained and licensed health professional? How the devil do YOU know so blamed much? I frequently encounter people who hear what I have to tell them based on my degrees and forty-four years of clinical experience, who stoutly deny the truth of what I'm telling them. When I encounter such people I realize I've encountered a fool and I just move on and leave them to their ignorance. It seems that stupidity is one thing we'll never find a cure for...
