u will gain weight if u eat any type of rice. Best is to cut down on rice, cut down on bread. Cut down on sugar totally coz food u eat contains enough sugar. Cut down on salt coz salt slows down your fat burning. Avoid carbonated drinks as these contains high sugar level. Naturally avoid chocolates and potatoes as well. Eat only steamed fish and vegetables. U can turn it into yummy food and not necessarily boring. If u like chinese style, i can give u my steam fish recipe. It is quicker than ordering chow mein or cooking chow mein and its healthier.
Get a seabass or any white meat fish.
Rub it in sesame oil
Slice thumb size ginger
Slice 1 onion, 1 garlic
A sprig of lime leaves/kafir leaves
A few dash of light soy sauce rub it on the fish.
1 Turmeric leaf. (whole)
-Mix all ingredients together rub it against the fish, put some ginger and onions on top and some below.
-Get the steamer plate, put the turmeric leaf as the base, then put fish with all the ingredients above it. Steam it for 5-10min.
-Depending on the size of the fish. If whole fish, steam for 15 min.
-Fish is nicer if not overcooked/undercooked so check on it periodically. If u steam whole fish (with bones intact), make a slice cut on it so it cooked better and faster. And put ginger, onions and lime leaves in the belly and head.
- U noticed my recipe did not contain salt. Need not worry coz when u taste the fish, it will turn out yummy and enough salt for your taste bud even though there is no salt in it. Good luck in dieting coz i am dieting too.

only steam rice is less risky than other types but then ,at least
for me it's tasteless,no action as we say here.
peas are a definitely no,anyway whatever you eat makes you
gain weight except cucumbers and carrots.
as I said,no action at all, eat everything in small portions, you won't
feel frustrated all the time.

its fried oily and greasy some times and yet so good thats what fat does gives flavor plus alot alot of salt and yes it can if has veges in it still can plus frying takes away all nutrients and such in the food so its bad.......
Also try white rice they make and broccoli steamed thats good or get a pint or quart of shrimp and broccoli with white rice but ask for no sauce on shrimp and broccoli and to steam it
i mean i love chinese but its true everythings oily i love boneless pork spare ribs with pork fried rice egg rolls and fortune cookies but truth is everything is greesy so try for something like shrimp and vege no sauce or chicken and vege no sauce comes with white rice i eat meal with out sauce and nix the rice to make it extra healthier

EVERYTHING makes you gain weight when you eat too much of it.Most chinese rice is fried or has some fat in it,and contains mostly carbs, which are converted into fat if you don't burn them off.

rice is rice, you will gain what you will. Chow mein is more filling with lots of fibre so the gain will be slower.

Balance is key. You can gain weight if you eat enough celery.
Just make sure you're not overdoing it.

Wrong.
Rice is not good for any diet.
Maybe the vege has less calories than chicken or meat.
That is about all.
