No, (unless he's not the monogamous type and you get something else,) once you have the hpv virus, you have it. No degree of difference.

It wont get worse. there are over 100 different strains of the HPV INFECTION. Not all cause warts. I would just be sure to keep up on your pap tests, and let the Dr. know you have HPV. I read that 90% of people have HPV by the time they are 50.
I have HPV, and my DR told me sometimes it does clear up on its own, I will being having a cervical biopsy to make sure it isn't the cancerous form. I was diagnosed with HPV from results of a pap smear. I have not developed warts, and have been with the same partner for 6 years. I could have just devolped it, or they never tested for it with my pap.
If you Sex partner has the form that causes warts, I dont think he would be comfortable having sex.
Just keep with your annual exams..

NO it will not get worse if you continue being with hi. It will get worse if left untreated. It is important to continue you're doc visits and pap visits...now instead of yearly they will be every 6 months.
NOTE: He probably didn't know he had HPV because there is no test for men for HPV because it's rare for a guy to have a major case of Penile cancer through the years. 1% of men have genital warts and most of the time go away on their own therefore men/women don't even know they have it. Most men are just cariers!

HPV is very common and 3 out of 4 people have it and don't know it. Don't STRESS! IF you have Genital Warts it's like having any other wart on you're body, hands and feet. It just sucks to have them down there! =)

Just educate youreself on the virus and advise youre partner. Keep youreself on check and wear protection.
Don't feel bad and don't let anybody else tell you otherwise. =)
Good luck!

I had hpv also, it took a while before it went away, I went from my main doctor to a dermatologist both not presribing me any meds the dermatologist just sprayed it lightly with a freezer thing. Nothing. Frustrated i went to the county STD clinic they gave me Aldara, it went away in a week. I hadnt had any more out breaks since, i wouldnt recommend having sex while the warts are visible they are very contagious. Remember also you might not have caught it from him hpv can lie dormant for a long time and its possible to pass it on with the use of condoms.

You have been infected with the HPV virus so it is already in your system, so no it will not hurt your body any more if you continue having sex.

No - once you have hpv, you have it. It all depends on how your body deals with it that will determine how badly you react to it.

It won't get worse due to sex, but left untreated, it will continue to grow. If you get treated and it clears up, having sex with an infected person means you risk re-infection too
