I dont know much about Mex. cuisine but I can tell you a little bit about Indian food.

Indian food uses ALOT of spices (cumin, cardamom, cloves, fennel, garam masala, turmeric, nutmeg, cloves, coriander...). I dont think Mex cuisine uses turmeric & certainly not garam masala. We love our curries, tandoori & tikka! India is also a tea drinking country.

Also, we use both whole & ground spices daily. Indians tend to eat plain basmati rice and lots of daals & lentil dishes. Most Indian food is veg ( or chicken/seafood).
There are no beef or pork dishes. Indian food also contains alot of dairy (yogurt, buttermilk...). Indians also
eat alot of chutneys & pickles. I also think Indian food is spicier.

Indians use rice flour, chickpea flour & flours made from lentils/daals. Indian food uses tapioca, saffron, rose essences, alot of dried fruits, nuts, lots of exotic fruits and veggies that are not found here, curry leaves...

It is a cuisine that is influenced by alot of outside sources: Arabs, Persians, Portuguese, Brits... Most food contains ginger (not sure it is used in Mex cuisine).

Mex cuisine uses more cheese, the only Indian cheese is paneer (non melting). Indians also do not use chocolate at all in traditional recipes, including dessert!

Mex cuisine uses cactus, tequila, more varieties of dried chillies, black beans, pinto beans, masa harina, tamales, beef, pork...they also eat crickets, worms, maggots...

Mex food has a latin american/south american flavors & influences, no asian/middle eastern/persian/arabic influences.

Commonalities: use of cilantro, flatbreads, plantains, mangos, limes, coconuts, rice...

i don't know much about indian food but i know that we cook ours with a lot of ingredients that are native to our regions. I know that both are spicy, and if my boss would of been here today (he's indian but it's his day off) then i would of been able to help you out some more... maybe look into some recipes from each culture and compare them...sorry, that's all i can provide, good luck!!!

point is she asked for help....not advice or comments or criticisms on responsibility. So either answer her question or just dont bother answering. Give her some form of credit wil ya? And yet we moan complain about our kids today not talking to us and stuff. How can they? When they do they get blasted. Best of luck nicole.

I know this will sound preposterous to you but how about being more diligent about your own responsibilities? And maybe doing your own research instead of looking for an easy way out via having others answer the question for you?

You epitomize the American student mentality.
