Actually...you should be eating around 4-5 meals per day with a balance of protein, vegetable and grain. You can balance some of this with a whey/soy protein shake with milk...!

:)

But when I do snack I like a little bread and hummus...darn good stuff...you can mix it up too..celery and hummus is good too!

Are you on insulin? If yes what kind? Pump or no pump? How much do you weigh? These are just some of the questions whoever is telling you what to eat needs to know. Generally if you need to eat between meals you might not be eating the right foods at your meals. There are so many differnet situations that I would not trust ANY answers you get from here without consulting a nutritionist familar with your situation. It is very important what you eat, take the time to fix the problem right.

Fresh veggies. Fresh and dried fruits. I LOVE dried cranberries! MMMMM. I also like granola bars with nuts and fruit in them. Yogurt is also a good snack, and wonderful for women.

Fresh fruit, something sweet if I am a bit low on the blood sugar. If I am a bit low with no chocolate in sight I will have dried fruit.
