I know they have meat... yes I do.

But before I take a trip there, do they have a variety of meatless vegetarian replacements? Like Boca, Morningstar, Amy's... etc.?

I need to find a place that does. My local supermarkets only have like burgers, and the natural food store by my house only has a few things.

THANKS!

All health food stores usually carry a variety of meatless choices.

The place I go to even has a veggie burger mix that you hydrate with vegetable stock and it is absolutely delicious! Ask the manager to order in whatever you buy on a regular basis and they will usually accomidate your needs?

Ask for it... It is in the bulk foods section and you buy it by the pound... Cheap as chips! Once you rehydrate it, you can make pattys or crumbles and use it in anything. I even make it into a Curry... it is delicious and really filling!

The Wild Oats in our area does carry all of those brands. They have quite a nice selection of items like that as well as a great produce department and a fresh grain and herb department. I'm hoping that since Whole Foods is buying them out, that their selection will become even better! We love Whole Foods, but they are just too far to drive. My husband is vegetarian and we are usually able to find anything we need there. (His favorite is Amy's pizzas.)

I'm glad you asked this question! We must live in the same town! Wild Oats is about 45 minutes away from me and I've never been able to make a special trip. I didn't want to travel all the way there and not have anything I want!

Wild Oats is an organic store. They have what vegetarians need, organic consumers, etc. You just have to read the ingredients like in any store.

Wild oats are a grain and therefore do not have any meat in them, they are a plant and that would suggest that they are as vegetarian as they get.

BTW, the healthiest people I know all eat meat, so vegetarian is not really the answer.
