I work at a salon and over head a customer talking. All of her shopping is done for her and she has it delivered to her house, all her food and supplies for the house. I'm not lazy but it ws something that interested me. Any help? a website? Information?

If it's just groceries and stuff you can buy at a supermarket, many big chain stores in larger communities have a delivery service. You just place your order online and pick an open delivery window. I do that occasionally with Safeway here, Albertsons does deliver, but not in my area. I've also heard of a service called Peapod that delivers groceries.

Because I hate going to Wal-Mart or Target, I order online from them or through drugstore.com.

However, it sounds as if this woman you heard could very possibly also have some kind of personal assistant/gopher. I know they exist in this area. Rich people just hire people to do the crumby little errands that they don't want to do so they can go to the salon. Actually, my cousin used to do that for a famous author.

A lot of grocery stores now have a delivery option. I live in Las Vegas and they started doing that a couple of years ago. If you go to your local grocery stores' web site, they may offer it. Or the next time she comes in, just ask her what service she is using because you are interested in it. When I lived in L.A., you could just call and place an order and they'd deliver it to you within the hour, like I was calling for a pizza. I could get food, toiletries, alcohol, and more, without ever leaving the house.

Most large food stores now have a delivery option. You go to their main web site and do your shopping online. Then the items are delivered to your door, and carried in the house too. You can not use coupons for items but you do get advertised specials. And most offer free shipping for first time orders or orders over a certain amount. I have not done this myself because I use coupons. But I have talked to others who have and they are very pleased with it. They have also commented on great meat and produce selections.

Safeway.com

You go online and order everything that you want, when and where you want it delivered and that's that. Pretty cool, huh!
They only deliver in Arizona, California, Maryland, Oregon, Virginia, Washington and Washington D.C. though.

The delivery is free on your first order and its somethin like $10 after that. You just have to be home to accept the delivery.

it used to be called home help in uk now its called somthing else, which i cant rember right now, and its run by age concern, then of course there are the big supermarkets online shops, for all your food and other goods aswell.
Also lots of peolpe cant manage to get to the shops, or even do their own shopping, so its
not a case of being lazy or rich. its case of being UN-ABLE for many people. They also make a charge for delivery and you can use coupons by typing in the code in one of the big
food shops.

I believe it's called having a personal shopper, they get to know the person they work for, their likes and dislikes and do the shopping for them, everything from groceries to birthday presents for relatives, anything you need. I guess if you can afford it and hate to shop it would be a nice thing.

Search Yahoo for this: shop online for groceries and you'll see all the stores who offer it (Vonn's, Safeway, Lowes, etc.) and pick one thats near you.
