Since you are in the Vegitarian/Vegan section I hope you are looking for a substitute.

Try Morningstar Farms, Steak Strips. They are vegan and taste super.

I buy them at wal-mart, so they are probably easy to find.

If you are talking about real animals, than get the hell out of this board.

Or better yet watch:
http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/video.asp?video=meet_your_meat&Player=wm&speed=_med

And you will not want to eat real meat ever again.

PS. "I Didn't Do IT", if you watched the video of animals getting mutilated, tortured and slaughtered and "laughed", you are one sick twisted little insect.

I'm assuming that you want to cook your own steaks.

Excellent beef can be purchased but will be over $15.00 per pound. Most restaurants don't buy that.

Most store bought steaks are way too lean and are tough.

Try this: Marinate a steak in wine vinegar overnight (12 hours minimum), turning once or twice. The vinegar tenderizer the steak and it is essentially cooked!

In a hot pan, add a little olive oil. Sear the steak side for about one minute each side.

Add salt and pepper and garlic powder to taste.

Hope you like it, Bob.

Well, there's no reason you shouldn't enjoy a really good steak. Even so, for health reasons, it's good to limit your consumption of red meat and concentrate more on fish and healthier protein. So, that makes it even more important to go for a top-of-the-line, no-hold-barred, amazingly good steak when you really want one. Make it the best you can afford, and fixed just the way you like it!
