I am 28 weeks pregnant and I have been coughing for almost two weeks straight now...I have drank tea with honey and lemon. I have been taking robitussin dm and robitussin cough drops....Nothing is helping. The coughing is also making me urinate on myself so I have been forced to wear protective pads. I drink plenty of water and that's not helping either.....Can someone please help me!!!!!!

Robitussin DM is very effective for me for the tickle in the throat that demands coughing, that doesn't help. But since you've tried that, Have you tried Mucinex DM? That's very good for the cough that's from congestion, lower down. What/where is it that demands you to cough? Not a throat tickle? If the cough is really bad at night and much better during the day, it could be bronchitis. What does your doctor say? It couldn't be good for the baby for you to have that much stress.
The military used to use guaiafenesin ("GI gin") - but that's what Mucinex is. The generic is not as strong as the brand name in this. But make sure it's Mucinex DM, not plain.

You should seriously consider seeing a doctor. You may have pneumonia. In January, I got a fever and what I thought was a cold. Since then I've been coughing and the cold Canadian air makes it worse when I go outside. Last weekend I got sick again with the fever and it make my coughing worse. I went to the doctor for the second time (the first one said I had the flu in mid-January) and this time he confirmed that I had pneumonia. It's a very serious condition and I've been on medication for a couple of days and am considering taking myself to the hospital. Your coughing seems to be very rough.

To be sure, breath in really deep and then breath out really well. If you cough and hear a raspy sound you should see the doctor right away and tell him you suspect you have pneumonia.
