Stuffed cabbage. MMMM! Buy a head of cabbage, a large pack of hamburger meat, a bag of barley, an onion, a large can of sauerkraut, a large can of whole tomatoes, 2 eggs, bread crumbs.
Mix together: hamburger meat, 1/2 handful barley, sm. chopped onion, 2 eggs, and a handful of bread crumbs. Cut out core of cabbage and break off leaves large enough to hold meat mixture. In bottom of soup pan, layer 1/2 of sliced tomatoes (core removed), and 1/2 of sauerkraut. Fill leaves with meat mixture with enough room to fold over leaves sideways and top. Continue till all leaves/meat are used. If you don't have enough cabbage, you can use meatballs too. When you have them layered, put other 1/2 of tomatoes with juice, and other 1/2 of sauerkraut on top. Slice any leftover cabbage also and put on top. Fill pan with water to cover contents. Cook on slow heat until cabbage is clear green colored. Approx. 1 1/2 hrs. ENJOY!

My favourite dish is garlic shrimp. This is how I make them:

Melt some garlic butter in a frying pan and add shrimp.
While the shrimp is cooking add some minced garlic, some green onions, and some lemon zest.
When the shrimp is done, take out and put on a plate. Garnish with some more green onions.

(and if you really like garlic like I do, have some melted garlic butter for dipping as well)

WARNING: this meal is not make-out friendly.

Do you really want to know what I make the best? Reservations. I pick up the phone and call a restaurant and tell them what time I want to eat. I like to be pampered and waited on. I work two jobs and do volunteer work so I don't have the time (or the interest) to cook. Then there's that big mess to clean up afterwards (I don't have a dishwasher). I would rather spend my few extra minutes of free time visiting my Hospice patient who won't be alive much longer. Seeing a smile on her face means more to me than spending all that time cooking.
