A good gargle may seem like an obvious remedy, but it's not. Keep completely quiet. And that means avoiding whispering, too. It's a given that talking should be avoided: It strains your vocal cords, prolonging or worsening sore throat. But its a little-known fact that whispering can be just as bad, or even worse. Whispering causes to bang your vocal cords together as strongly as if you was shouting . Lead your hoarse to water. Downing at least eight glasses of water a day--and preferably ten--ensures that her larynx stays moist, a key step in curing sore throat. The water should be warm or room temperature--not overly hot or cold. And don't add salt or alcohol. (Forget about hot toddies: They're too drying.) If water isn't your favorite beverage, you can also drink juice and (warm) tea with honey. hope you get well soon.
cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

I dont think theres any instant cure, but using throat spray, and gargling warm salt water, will take away some of the pain.

Sure what i usually try is salt water gargles but i use sea salt instead of table salt which can be found at the same place in the grocey store.this works because it helps with the growth of bacteria.I would do it three times a day warm water half of a teaspoon to about 3 or 4 oz of water.if your not allergic to aspirin try aspergum found at walgreens or the equivalent, zinc and vitamin c drops are good too.keep hydated. the aspergum is pretty quick relief, does'nt taste too bad but who cares if it works, right?hope you feel better.

Squeeze half a lemon on your throat. The acid will help a lot.

We always used warm salt water as a gargle. Sooths and heals pretty quickly.
