I have genital herpes. Will I ever be wanted by a woman again? Will I ever have sex again? I'm losing hope of either.

Antivirals can help decrease the severity of your outbreaks,I have heard that they also decrease the amount of outbreaks a person have. Oh, 1 out of 5 americans have the herpes virus. I`m sure there are women out there that have genital herpes and would find you desirable. I actually know a couple who have this issue and are married. The wife is herpes free and the husband has the disease. They practice safe sex and he`s medicated to prevent serious outbreaks. It is a bummer to have it, but there are compassionate women out there that will see past your illness. No worries!!Just make sure you tell your potential sex partner before you have sex and use protection. Condoms will help prevent the spread of herpes but depending on where you get your outbreaks it is still a risk to an uninfected partner.

I have HPV low risk (genital warts) and I felt the same way when I was diagnosed with it. I was single and my bf at the time left me because he said that he didn't have it and assumed I was cheating on him. I felt so alone. What helped alot was support groups on line. I met a lot of men and women that had the virus and are very supportive. 3 months later I met my bf now and he is virus free. He is very supportive and caring and I never thought I could meet someone or someone would want me.

Don't worry....
Yes you will love again and you're life is not over...

You can find someone else with Herpes, since you'd both understand each other's situation. Try:

you will unfortunatly have to establish relationships before exploring the herpes issue and attempting sex. Be very expert in precautions and symptoms.

Be sure to tell any woman you are seriously involved with about this problem. If she feels the same about you and knows you were honest with her, you may be surprised at how easy it will be for you to love again.

That's a tough situation to be in but I'm sure you'll be ok, if you're honest about it. Look for support groups in your area.
