Allergies, and cronic sinus infections can all cause the same problems...my son has bad allergies, I started giving him childrens benadryl at night before he goes to bed, and it does improve his conditions...I would have him checked for sinuses..asthma, and allergies...also cutting molars can play a part in the cough expecialy in the morning...also pay attention to him while he sleeps, does he sleep with his mouth open or closed..

are you completly finishing the antibiotic?? It is important to finish it even if he is feeling better. Also I would make sure he is getting plenty of clear fluids to help thin the mucous and cough. He needs to be able to get rid of it, I would keep using the humidifier too. This will clear up, just give it time.
