Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus. Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 can cause cold sores.
Having cold sores does not mean you automatically have genital herpes and vice versa. It's possible to have both cold sore and genital herpes, but just because you have one doesn't mean you automatically have the other.
Typically cold sores are caused by herpes simplex virus 1 and genital herpes are caused by herpes simplex virus 2. Cold sores can be caused by herpes simplex virus 2 and genital herpes can be caused by herpes simplex virus 1 (it's just less common).
I personally have genital herpes and have had it about 6 years. I have never had a cold sore, ever. So just because I have genital herpes doesn't automatically mean I have cold sores.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

I got diagnosed with genital herpes (type 2) about seven years back, while I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. I know lots of young ladies will declare this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/C3Tpk everything changed.
Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the World.

Yes, cold sores are herpes. But that does not mean you will get genital herpes. They are two different diseases. Still, you can spread the oral herpes to other regions. So be warned about oral sex if you or your partner has a cold sore.

Cold sore is a oral herpes and when you perform oral sex on the others, it will spread to the genital area. However, genital herpes is type 2 and sometimes, you have herpes on the genital area but it's type 1 which is HSV1. So, if you want to make sure which type you have, get tested!

I had herpes about four years back, when I was still in college and had a spupid one-night stand. I suppose many of girls will say this but believe me I never did that sort of thing. I just made a mistake that one time and, suddenly, it looked like I was going to have to live with the problem for the rest of my life. The awful part was thinking I would never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a person who has sores around her you-know-what? But after somebody share this video https://tr.im/BaqHQ everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than 2 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met my soul mate and I'm so happy to write that just last week, in fornt of everyone in a restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program gave me the chance to be happy again, and to experience true love.

Herpes is herpes is herpes. it's all treated the same and comes from the herpes virus. once you have a cold sore in any mucous membrane of your body, you will not be able to get rid of it. there are antiviral medications available that can reduce symptoms. talk to your doctor.
avoid the sun (if possible), reduce stress, stay healthy -these will reduce outbreaks. they can spread to others, so don't touch them. use a clean q-tip when applying medication.
a week after each outbreak, buy a new toothbrush and throw out all lip creams, etc. a blow dryer set on low and aimed at the ulcer for a few seconds can help speed recovery by drying out ulcer.
