I found some spicy canned ground beef with chili peppers by chance at Pick And Save/MacFrugal's/Big Lots a few years ago. Since then I have not had any luck finding such a thing anywhere, even in hispanic supermarkets. Ever heard of such a thing? Where have you seen it? What is the brand? Can I get some mail-order?

The reason I want canned is so that I can throw a bunch of them in my desk drawer for a quick lunch. Canned beef will keep a lot longer than homemade, even though homemade is lots better.

If not, I am not sure where you would get it. Maybe try hormel chili with no beans.

Making your own is a good substitute. I'm not fond of canned ground beef.

Be careful too much canned beef and preservatives and high sodium content.
