You're probably wanting to emulate the pomme frites of the French fry! There is a restaurant in New York that specializes in these yummies and serves at least 100 different dipping sauces for them. You'll want to start with good potatos. Peel and slice so that each fry is evenly cut (for cooking) Place in ice water. Do a partial fry in hot peanut oil but remove before browned. Submerge in ice water again. When you are ready to eat them, hit the fryer again and cook until crisp and brown. Drain. Salt the fries with kosher salt, and minced garlic for a real treat. Take a sheet of waxed paper and make a cone out of it. If necessary, staple the bottom. Fill the cone with the fries and serve with catsup mixed with horseradish, or ranch dressing, or mustard, or plain ketchup, or blue cheese dressing.....etc.!

I'm not really sure what you are asking. Do you mean what to use as a container. You could use paper Dixie cups or paper cones that you might find in a medical supply store or pharmacy supplies, the ones that are in the offices at the water fountains.

I have done this, and it turned out to be very sophisticated. Follow the recipe for pomme frites you recieved earlier. To serve them, go to the dollar store and buy those black metal candleholders that hold a votive holder. I purchased about 30 of them for my party. Then I used the glass votive part for decorations around the house! I really did look chic!
