i had sex with somebody who had chlamydia several times... i got tested for chlamydia 3 months later and the test came out negative?

can this be true?

Yes, if you had chlamydia, you would know it. It is not a genetic disease as is herpes or HIV. If you get it you would test positive when you had the infection and you would see physical signs and symptoms of the disease. Since you have not, you don't have chlamydia. You should use condoms to prevent future contraction of the disease if you have intercourse with this infected person.

just because they have had chlamydia several times doesnt mean they have chlamydia all the time. it is cureable with antibiotics.

so get yourself re-tested to be sure, then if you get another negative. your in the clear.

Yes it can be true. Chlamydia is a bacterial infection. Only viral infections can lie dormant. So, yes, it is possible that you don't have it.

It is likely that you do NOT have chlamydia.

If you only had a urine test, you should request that specimens be taken from your penis and another test be performed, just to be sure.

yeah ur fine, It only takes a week or less to kick in an the first symptom for guys is burning when u pee... So it sounds fine...
