depends on the last time you had sex, and the time between that and when you got tested. usually 4-6 weeks, sometimes 6-8 weeks, but get tested again in a month just incase...never hurts.

It's possible you didn't get it, since it's harder for males to get most things from females than the other way around.
Most providers will just treat without testing if your partner has it.
It's a good idea to get checked for gonorrhea and chlamydia once a year in your teens no matter what--that way you catch problems before they get serious (like infertility in females). Planned Parenthood and the County Health Departments test and treat males and females, usually for free or cheap.

Doctors will often treat you for chlamydia even if you don't have it to be on the safe side. It's better to get treated than leave it for chance. I was treated because I had endometreosis and an infection in my uterus - the doc said it was the best option.
If you are given medication and you have a long term partner, it is best to get them medicated as well as there is the chance that they are carriers and will simply pass it back to you.

Yea I would wait about a week, maybe two, and get retested just to be sure. If it is still negative then you do not have it. I know someone that got tested and it was negative and then got it a week later, even though he had contact with the girl prior to being tested the first time, and no contact after that, obviously. So don't have sex with your gf for 2 weeks atleast so you don't reinfect her, just incase. Oh and just a thought, maybe you should get the meds for it anyways, just incase. because it won't hurt you to take them, even if you don't need them.
