you can get them in your armpits too. when i was a teen, agroup of friends were on a grass area one summers day. i was sat close to a guy who was lying with his arms up behind his head. i could actually see them in the hair. jeez did i move quick !

If memory serves me, it has to do with how crabs and lice breed. The females "hold" on to two adjacent hairs while the male does his thing. Crabs gravitate to the pubic region because the hair is a particular length apart there. For similar reasons, head lice gravitate to the head because of the distance apart for head hair.

cos you don't tend to rub your pupic regions on another persons head. Headlice are the alternative for your head hair

crabs live in pubes ,lice live in head hair , fleas on animals they are all from the same family but are different they differ only in there size and legs lice cannot climb on pubic hair and crabs cannot climb on head hair there was an experriment done on a program on the tv about a month or so ago

you can get crabs where their is hair. If you get in you pupic area from sex, using the bathroom or being nasty..

Because these are pubic lice and are best suited and specialised to living in this area. On the head you get head lice and on the body you get body lice. They are all similar and related to each other, but each, given the opportunity will live in the niche it has become best suited to.

So now I am thinking about this.. I would think just me thinking yes they would start out as in the pubic area, but if not taken care of would move everywhere.. I would think.. I am not a Dr tho.. good luck with this one

One can get crabs anyplace on the body that has hair.
EX. hair on top of one's head, underarms, etc.
