A really good website for these types of questions that I use a lot when I am travelling is 10best.com. You usually get answers targeted exactly by the type of club and the neighborhood. All of these ratings are by people who live in the area or who have visited many times, so they are usually a good bet. I have never been disappointed.

"Jim's Place" on Arlington Expressway, "Plush" on University Blvd, and "Club Christopher's" in Orange park. All are lots of fun. Oh, and if you like hip hop and reggae, try "Da Real Ting"
I forgot to add "bourbon Street" and st. Johns
