Becoming vegetarians was a decision my husband and I made when we had our first child. After a few years, I discovered that he was eating meat. Besides feeling lied to, I lost my desire to kiss him, or touch him, or anything else. Has anyone else had a similar experience, or can offer me advice?

Kissing is a very intimate and loving act.
My guess is that you are having problems with that level of intimacy with him is because he lied to you and spent years doing so behind your back.
Having a partner who is not honest breaks trust, love and understanding. You have to wonder what else he has been hiding, and why he didn't respect you enough to talk to you about the fact that he couldn't follow through with the decision you made together..
I have kissed a couple of meat eaters during my time as vegetarian. The only one I couldn't stand was the one who didn't respect me enough to not kiss me with beef jerky breath.
Seriously, nacho jerky in one hand while kissing me. It was gross, and it showed he had no respect for me. He could have finished and brushed his teeth. Does anyone (meat or veg) like kissing beef-jerky breath?

Ask him to brush his teeth after he eats meat or at least before he kisses you. You two made an agreement about being vegetarian and he broke it, so if he feels inconvenienced about the need to have a fresh, minty, non meat mouth, well tough! I feel the same way you do, but I'm not married so I don't know how I would feel other than betrayed. If you ate meat when you two were together before your child he probably doesn't understand what the big deal is. Just talk to him or abstain from hot vegetarian ______j/k

I definitely would have a problem. Im a vegetarian and my boyfriend is too. And i'm 100% sure he is always going to be one. I agree, though. I wouldn't kiss a guy that just shoved a dead animal in his mouth.
It's really hard to change someone, and I'm sure it's crossed your mind, but he's your husband and you love him anyway. Just let him know how you feel about his consumption of dead animals. And ask him why he decided to pick up meat eating again.. Try to turn him back. It's really mean to change someone. But..couples can make sacrafices for eachother.

I'm not quite a vegan, just a vegetarian, but that is an interesting dilemma. I would certainly not kiss a meateater right after they have eaten it, but I personally have no basic objection to kissing them in general. (Granted, I am one of those vegetarians who thinks people are supposed to eat meat, and just choose not to do it myself.)
I certainly would, however, take issue with the fact that he lied to you about it. You need to sit down with him and have a serious discussion about how he has made you feel, and see what you can work out from that.

I am a vegetarian, and don't like kissing meat eaters. My boyfriend most often eats vegetarian as well, but knows that if he wants to enjoy a steak, and have a kiss, he better get his teeth brushed. It's not an unreasonable request. If I ate something that offended his senses like very garlicy hummous or something, I would brush my teeth too. I just say to him- gross, is there dead animal in your mouth? And he heads to the washroom. Also, people shouldn't lie. It's bad for kissing too.

You know, I really thought I would have a problem kissing a meateater....but it really depends on the person. The "meateater" I kiss doesn't gross me out. It's strange--I thought it would, but if you love someone, in spite of their dietary decisions, then it shouldn't be a problem.

I would feel bad about him lying to you,
but personally I don't have a problem kissing guys that eat meat.

wow these ppl some of that stuff has nothing to do with kiss a meat eatter ...
but personaly i dont have a problem with it as long as they didnt just eat meat
but i think it might also be the fact that he lied to u that might have caused u to not want to kiss him or touch him

i cant kiss a meat eater, i dislike the taste of meat in my mouth...
tell him to use mouth wash after he eats meat

Sometimes meateaters have a hard time kissing vegetarians. Vegetarians seem to smell kinda funny and fart a lot.
