They eat about the same amount of calories - but since meat has a lot of calories, vegetarians sometimes eat more if you're talking about the *weight* of the food. (Most veggies contain lots of water.)
However, it depends on each individual's diet. Lacto-ovo vegetarians, for example, get many calories from dairy. And even vegans can eat thinks like tofu, nuts and grains, which have a lot of calories.
Still, due to the high percentage of vegetables in their diets, most vegetarians probably eat a little more food than meat eaters if you measure by weight, but the same or less if you go by calorie content.
(Of course, this is just an average. An individual vegetarian could eat lots and lots of (vegan) chocolate and ice cream and consume more calories than most meat eaters.)

Most vegetarians eat approximately the same as meat eaters. However, there are actually quite a few who eat the wrong stuff and fill up with a lot of junkfood and are very overweight due to feeling still hungry (vitamin deficiencies from eating so badly).

No, we don't eat more. Either we eat the same amount as meat-eaters or less.
The beautiful thing about being a vegetarian is that we if we want, we can eat quite a bit of furit and veggies and not pose serious health risks to ourselves like people who eat excessive amuonts of beef and pork.
:-)

I know vegetarians and they are always watching their diet. They don't eat more, but eat less than a meat eater and are not overweight.
