Allergic reaction and histamine release.

If you want to produce less snot try an anti-histamine like Claritin or Benadryl. You can get the generic of Claritin as 10mg of Loratadine. It's cheaper. Remember to only take one tablet every 24 hours... otherwise you'll get drowsy.
