I hate to do this, but you leave such an opening I can't resist - pickles with the ends cut off. Sorry, you sort of asked for it with the play on the Briss part. Of course Fountain Pens as decorations would also work, never too many for a Bar Mitzvah. But seriously, just go with some kind of deli platters, probably the best, isn't that the typical food you would expect. Good luck and hope you make a lot of money for charity, and hope the briss isn't yours for real. Oye vay.

Isn't a briss where they snip the you-know-what off a little boy???? And adults are going to do this???? Well, well, well!!! Ok, I'm not thinking you should be considering chopped liver here, just because the symbolism would be just way too much. But check your Jewish Handbook of Cooking Bar Mitzvah and Briss recipes to see what such an occasion would have. I personally, wouldn't be able to eat a single thing! :)

hey, Pita with Humous, Tuna or chicken salad, Chalah, vegatbales with humous dip or any other type of dip etc, chips with salsa, bagles with cream cheese and lux or just plain bagels with toppings on the side to put on. Just be creative and have fun with it. Good luck!
