Can I substitute Gram Flour with Regular Flour?

This will not be used in cooking or baking, but more towards exfoliation on my skin, some one said Gram Flour/Turmeric powder/cocunut oil into a paste. Just wondering, what the difference is between the two types of flours.

Gram flour is made out of chick peas. Regular flour is basically, multi purpose flour. Substituting will not help.
