You may feel small amounts of chest pain that feel like pressure or gas but the only way to REALLY know is by having an EKG/ICG. If you go to the emergency room and tell them your chest hurts, they will do it for you.

Shannon,

Symptoms vary wildly in different people and according to the severity of the infarction (attack).

You may notice a dull or even crushing pain in the center or left area of your chest. The pain may radiate towards your jaw or shoulders. Intense fear or doom can accompany a heart attack. Nausea and breathlessness can also be present. You may even notice nothing at all. Its best to get to a doctor for definitive ECG and blood tests.

The symptoms of heart attack are similar to other less serious incidents. If you think you, or someone else, had or is having a heart attack do not delay in seeking medical attention. A major cause of death in the US occurs because people "do not want to bother" their doctor with something that is probably nothing.

Best Wishes

pain in the right arm with tingling, jaw pain, chest discomfort for sure....if ur asking the question, ur obviously conserned and it needs to be checked out by a physcian. I work in ER and seen too many come in too late. My advice would be taken an aspirin asap then go to the hospital.
