Depending on what type of soda you drink, the acid levels in both the OJ and the soda cause your stomach to react and raise levels of gastric acids. As the acids combine and build-up they get pushed back into your esophagus and cause heart burn. This is commonly called acid-reflux.

soda is carbonated, and the carbonation will often force gastric juices out of the stomach and into the esophagus causing heartburn. Orange juice is high in acids, causing an over production of bile and gastric juices, which then are forced into the esophagus, again causing heartburn. If this is a regular thing for you, your body is telling you not to consume those things. Listen to it.

Without changing your diet there's probably not a lot you can do. You sound as if you are doing plenty of exercise. I'm not saying go on a "raw veggie and salad" diet, but just look a what you are eating and find ways to cut down on fats. Like eating leaner meats, fish and chicken, switching to skim milk in your coffee, stay away from creamy sauces with your pasta. Maybe changing your afternoon or morning snack from whatever it is now, to a piece of fruit a few days a week. There is nothing at all wrong with meat and carbs, just look at other ways to reduce fat and calorie intake.
